Job Summary

We are searching for someone to look after the organization’s building facility, surroundings and equipment/machinery.

  • Minimum Qualification : Degree
  • Experience Level : Mid level
  • Experience Length : 5 years

Job Description/Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for preserving the good condition of the Office building
  • Ensuring the general upkeep of the head office building and overseeing maintenance activities.
  • Ensure that building and machinery are safe and well-functioning while optimizing the use of equipment
  • Plan and coordinate all installations (telecommunications, electricity etc.) and refurbishments
  • Manage the upkeep of equipment and supplies to meet health and safety standards
  • Inspect buildings’ structure to determine the need for repairs or renovations
  • Review utility consumption and strive to minimize costs
  • Supervise technicians and external contractors
  • Control and supervise activities like parking space allocation, waste disposal, building security, etc.
  • Maintain compliance and ensure that facilities meet government regulations, health and security standards, and energy efficiency requirements
  • Develop monitoring systems or programs to detect problems in the initial stage
  • Initiate interventions to solve problems in the facilities
  • Develop a schedule for regular monitoring and evaluation of the facility


Qualification and Competences:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Facility Management, Business Administration, or similar fields. 
  • Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience as a facility officer or relevant position
  • Proficiency in MS Office (MS Excel and MS PowerPoint)
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
  • Well-versed in basic technical operations and facilities management best practices
