Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Furniture Production Manager role based in Accra. The Furniture Production Manager oversees daily production activities, ensuring that furniture items are manufactured to required quality standards, specifications, and timelines. Responsibilities include planning and scheduling production, supervising production teams, monitoring inventory of raw materials (including foam products), and coordinating with procurement and logistics to maintain efficient operations. The role also involves implementing and enforcing safety procedures, optimizing workflows, troubleshooting production issues, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. The Furniture Production Manager collaborates closely with quality control, maintenance, and design teams to meet customer demands and drive operational excellence.
Soft Skills
- Experience in furniture or foam product manufacturing, with proven ability to manage production lines and supervise factory teams.
- Strong skills in production planning, workflow optimization, and resource allocation to meet output and quality targets.
- Knowledge of manufacturing safety standards, quality control procedures, and basic maintenance practices for production equipment.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, product specifications, and work orders for furniture and foam components.
- Solid organizational and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and a focus on continuous improvement.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for coordinating with cross-functional teams and guiding production staff.
- Prior leadership experience in a factory or workshop environment in Ghana or West Africa is an advantage.
