What you become a part of:
The successful candidate will lead regional marketing strategy and execution for one of our key markets. The role carries end-to-end accountability for brand performance, portfolio strategy, field force enablement and regional market development.
The role requires strong commercial acumen, deep pharma marketing expertise and the ability to operate independently in a complex, high-growth market.
What to expect:
- Own and drive the regional marketing strategy for the pharma portfolio, translating group direction into executable brand, pricing and promotional plans aligned to regional business objectives.
- Lead brand positioning, lifecycle management and portfolio optimization across therapy areas to maximize growth and profitability.
- Act as a strategic partner to the Sales leadership and field force, ensuring strong alignment between marketing initiatives and on-ground execution.
- Identify, engage and manage relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and key external stakeholders to strengthen brand advocacy and medical credibility.
- Drive pricing strategy reviews in collaboration with Sales and Finance, factoring competitive dynamics, affordability and margin objectives.
- Continuously monitor market trends, customer needs, competitive activity and regional performance, providing actionable insights and course corrections.
- Design and deliver regional training programs to build product, scientific and commercial capability within the field force.
- Oversee regional marketing analytics, including primary and secondary sales analysis and present structured performance dashboards to senior stakeholders.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Regulatory and Group teams to ensure seamless execution and availability.
- Mentor and develop marketing talent within the region, setting high standards of ownership, discipline and excellence.
Essential qualifications, experience & skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy/ Life Sciences; Master’s degree in Marketing or Business Management preferred.
- 8–10 years of progressive experience in pharmaceutical marketing, including regional or multi-country responsibility.
- Proven ability to operate at a strategic and hands-on leadership level in emerging or complex markets.
- Strong experience working in matrix organizations with multiple stakeholders.
- High level of independence, resilience and ownership mindset.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, analytical and decision-making skills.
- Prior experience in Africa or frontier markets will be a strong advantage.
