Job summary
The Tax Consultant will provide professional tax advisory and compliance support to the company and company’s clients , ensuring that all tax obligations are properly managed and that the organization remains compliant with applicable tax laws and regulations. The successful candidate will manage tax matters, oversee tax compliance activities, identify tax risks and opportunities, and support the company and company’s client in managing tax affairs effectively. The role requires strong knowledge of taxation, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to interpret and apply complex tax regulations.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide tax advisory and compliance support to company and company’s clients.
- Prepare, review, and submit tax returns and statutory filings.
- Manage compliance with corporate tax, VAT, withholding tax, PAYE, and other applicable taxes.
- Conduct tax reviews to identify risks, exposures, and compliance gaps.
- Liaise with the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) on audits, assessments, and tax-related matters.
- Advise on the tax implications of business transactions and contracts.
- Monitor changes in tax laws and advise management accordingly.
- Support tax planning and identify legitimate tax optimization opportunities.
- Maintain accurate tax records and supporting documentation.
- Assist in resolving tax disputes and other tax-related issues.
Qualifications & Experience
- A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, Economics, or a related field is required.
- Chartered Tax Practitioner is a must .Professional qualification such as ACCA, ICA, or equivalent is an advantage.
- Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in taxation, tax consulting, accounting, or a related role.
- Strong knowledge of Ghanaian tax laws, regulations, and GRA compliance requirements.
- Practical experience with corporate tax, VAT, withholding tax, PAYE, and other relevant taxes.
- Experience handling tax audits, assessments, objections, and engagements with tax authorities.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Experience using accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
