Accountant

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and accounting entries.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and statements.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Prepare and process invoices, receipts, payments, and other financial documents.
• Perform bank, cash, and general ledger reconciliations.
• Monitor cash flow and assist with cash management and financial planning.
• Prepare budgets, forecasts, and financial analysis to support management decision-making.
• Monitor income and expenditure and identify variances or financial irregularities.
• Ensure timely preparation and filing of applicable statutory returns and tax-related obligations.
• Maintain proper documentation and records for audit purposes.
• Support internal and external audits by providing relevant financial information and documentation.
• Implement and maintain appropriate financial controls and accounting procedures.
• Monitor compliance with applicable accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies.
• Review financial transactions to ensure accuracy, completeness, and proper authorization.
• Assist management with financial analysis, cost control, and business performance reporting.
• Identify financial risks and recommend appropriate corrective measures.
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial and company information.
• Perform other accounting and finance-related duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications & Experience

• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
• Professional accounting qualification such as ACCA, ICA, or equivalent is required.
• Minimum 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Strong experience in financial reporting, reconciliations, accounts payable and receivable, and general ledger management.
• Good knowledge of Ghanaian tax and statutory requirements
• Experience with accounting software and financial management systems.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial controls, and reporting standards.
• Experience supporting audits and preparing financial documentation.
