Role Overview

Responsible for ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of industrial service equipment in the food industry, including boilers, chillers, compressors, pumps, and fire safety systems. The role requires strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and adherence to safety and regulatory standards.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine and predictive maintenance on boilers, chillers, compressors, process water systems, vacuum pumps, fire hydrant and fire suppression systems.
  • Ensure 100% compliance with the Mechanical Preventive Maintenance Plan.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to prevent repeat failures.
  • Collaborate with production and electrical maintenance teams for seamless operations.
  • Plan daily activities for shift teams, machinists, and welders.
  • Execute energy-saving and cost-reduction initiatives.
  • Maintain and manage critical mechanical tools and spare parts inventory.
  • Liaise with government authorities for statutory compliance and maintain regulatory documentation.
  • Provide technical support to maintenance technicians and operators.
  • Ensure workplace safety for self and team, complying with all safety standards.


Requirements & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree/Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in mechanical engineering within the FMCG industry.
  • Hands-on experience with industrial service equipment such as boilers, chillers, compressors, pumps, and fire safety systems.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles (mechanics, dynamics, thermodynamics).
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and take ownership of tasks.
  • Effective time management and personal effectiveness.
