The company is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accounts Officer to support the Finance Manager in the day-to-day financial and accounting operations of the company. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting payment processes, and ensuring proper documentation and filing of all financial transactions.

Key Requirements
- Maintain financial files and records.
- Keep prompt, accurate, and comprehensive records of the bank book.
- Compile and analyze financial information to prepare entries to accounts.
- Resolve accounting discrepancies.
- Check for errors in accounting statements and ensure that such statements are complete and accurate.
- Preparation of accounting reconciliations and trial balances on a monthly basis.
- Preparation of VAT returns and other statutory obligations.
- Dealing with phone queries and liaising with clients and suppliers.
- Assisting in the development of management accounting and costing information available to the department.
- Assisting in the preparation of the department’s annual resource accounts within the statutory and administrative deadlines.
- Preparation of monthly accruals and prepayments for inclusion in management and resource accounts.
- Prepare and review budget, revenue, expenses, invoices, and other accounting documents.
- Various office and administrative tasks and assisting in ad‑hoc projects as required.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Business Administration (Accounting Option), Accounting and Finance from any recognized university.
- 1–2 years' work experience in an accounting related role.
- Being conversant with QuickBooks accounting software will be an added advantage.
- Attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Good communication and collaboration skills.
- Proficient in use of Microsoft Office Suite.
