About the Role

We're hiring a full-time Sandblaster to join our field crew. Work is on-site across client locations in Greater Accra and occasionally elsewhere in Ghana.

  • Prepare steel and concrete surfaces to the specified cleanliness and profile standard
  • Mask and protect areas that shouldn't be blasted
  • Load abrasive media, monitor moisture and pressure, and change nozzles as they wear
  • Carry out basic checks and daily maintenance on blasting equipment, and report faults early
  • Assist the coating crew with priming and painting where needed
  • Follow site safety rules at all times; full blast helmet with air supply, respiratory protection, hearing protection and body cover
  • Keep the work area tidy and dispose of spent abrasive properly
  • Report daily progress and material usage to the site supervisor

What we're looking for

  • Aged 22–40, physically fit and able to handle long shifts in hot conditions and full PPE
  • Hands-on sandblasting experience on industrial or marine projects
  • Working knowledge of blast pot operation, nozzle sizing, air pressure and abrasive types
  • Understanding of surface preparation standards (Sa 2.5 / SSPC-SP10 and similar)
  • Good safety habits and comfort working in confined spaces and at height
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to take direction on a busy site
  • Able to communicate clearly with the crew and supervisor

Nice to have

  • Certification in confined space entry, working at height, or basic first aid
  • Experience with airless spray painting or coating application
  • Scaffolding or rigging experience
  • Valid driver's licence

What we offer

  • Full-time role with a growing industrial services company
  • Full PPE and blasting gear provided
  • On-the-job training and a path into coating application, quality inspection or crew supervision
  • Steady project work with established industrial and marine clients

Compensation

  • GH₵2,800 – GH₵3,500 per month, depending on experience and certification
  • Project and site allowances on offshore, marine and out-of-station work
  • SSNIT contributions and statutory deductions handled in full
  • Paid overtime at the agreed rate for hours beyond the standard shift
  • Reviewed annually
