Quality Control and Assembling Technician
Job summary
The Quality Control and Assembling Technician is the last checkpoint before an order leaves the plant. Assembly accuracy is the core duty of this role: every garment matched to its correct order, every order complete, no order containing another customer's garment. An assembly error is never caught inside the company again. It is caught by the customer, as a missing item, as a stranger's garment in their bag, or both, and each one is a claim against the company. Nothing reaches a customer that you have not verified as complete, correct, and up to Laundry Chief quality standards.
Job descriptions & requirements
- Print and organize invoices for due, completed, and delayed orders by shop and delivery schedule.
- CRITICAL DUTY: Assemble every order with complete accuracy. Match every garment to its correct order by tag, order ID, item type, and other identifiers. Every garment, without exception. One wrong match creates two failures at once: a missing item on one customer's order and a stranger's garment on another's. Both become claims the company pays for.
- Confirm every assembled order is complete, with no missing items and no garment belonging to any other customer, before treating it as ready.
- Verify garment counts against the latest invoice and Clean Cloud records. A matching count is not proof the order is correct. Counts can match while garments sit in the wrong orders. Matching by tag and order ID is the check that decides. The count only supports it.
- Inspect every garment before packaging: untreated stains, poor finishing, fabric damage, color runs, missing items, anything below standard. You are the last eyes before the customer's.
- Report quality issues and garment defects to customer service or the shop attendants where the customer must be informed.
- Return substandard garments to the responsible station for correction before dispatch. No substandard garment is packaged. Due-date pressure does not override this rule.
- Present assembled orders to the Quality Control Manager for final inspection and approval.
- Package garments to company standards: folding, hanging, bagging, labeling, and attaching invoices.
- Move completed orders to the dispatch area. Update the order status in Clean Cloud only when the order is fully ready for collection or delivery. An order marked ready before it is ready is a false promise to the customer.
- Keep accurate records of processed orders. Keep the assembly and dispatch area organized and moving.
- CRITICAL DUTY: Every time you touch a garment, check it. At assembly, at inspection, at packaging, at dispatch. Report and record every problem immediately, before the garment moves on. Never pass a garment forward with a problem you saw but did not record. A problem caught at your station is cheap. The same problem caught by the customer costs the company money and reputation. A problem that passes through your hands unrecorded and is found later counts as your failure.
- Assembly accuracy. Zero mismatched garments in any dispatched order: no missing items, no other customer's garment. This is the headline standard of the role.
- Order completeness. Zero missing-item claims on dispatched orders.
- Defect escape. Zero quality problems reaching customers that were visible at your inspection. "I did not see it" is not a defense when the problem was there to be seen.
- Count and record accuracy. Zero unexplained differences between assembled orders, invoices, and Clean Cloud records.
- Status discipline. Zero orders marked ready before they were fully complete and packaged.
- Packaging. Zero customer complaints caused by packaging.
- Correction turnaround. Substandard garments returned to the responsible station promptly. Zero due dates missed because a correction was raised late.
- Vigilance. Zero garment problems discovered downstream or by customers where the problem was visible while the garment was with you."; I did not see it" is not a defense when the problem was there to be seen.
