Job descriptions & requirements
- Teaching Music at all levels (Basic to JHS)
- Teaching all relevant areas of the music curriculum
- Planning, preparing, and delivering engaging and practical music lessons for learners of varying abilities
- Training and directing the school choir for assemblies, programs and competitions
- Teaching basic musical instruments (keyboard, drums, recorder etc.)
- Organizing the music room and learning resources to create a positive learning environment
- Creating attractive and educational classroom displays
- Preparing, assessing, and marking students’ work to support academic development
- Motivating pupils through enthusiastic and imaginative teaching methods
- Maintaining discipline and ensuring effective classroom management
- Working independently with minimal supervision
- Minimum of Diploma or Degree in Music, Music Education, or related field
- At least 3 years of relevant teaching experience
- Strong instrumental skill (ability to play keyboard will be an advantage)
- Good singing, communication, interpersonal and classroom management skills
- Ability to work independently and effectively
- Passion for working with children and promoting musical talents
