Research Assistant

Role Description This full-time on-site Research Assistant role at Way Music is based in Accra and supports research projects focused on music-related initiatives and data-driven insights. The Research Assistant will collect, organize, and analyze qualitative and quantitative data from various sources, including surveys, interviews, and music-related datasets. Daily responsibilities include assisting in the design of research studies, maintaining accurate records, preparing reports, and contributing to presentations and documentation for internal and external stakeholders. The role also involves collaborating with cross-functional team members, ensuring research protocols are followed, and helping to keep laboratory or studio research environments organized and compliant with internal guidelines.
Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Analytical Skills and Data Analysis abilities to interpret findings and generate clear, actionable insights.
• Candidates should possess solid Research skills, including study design support, data collection, and documentation of methodologies.
• Candidates should possess effective Communication skills to present results, prepare reports, and collaborate with team members and partners.
• Candidates should possess relevant Laboratory Skills or technical skills applicable to research in music, audio, or related creative environments.
• Relevant qualifications such as a diploma or degree in Research, Statistics, Psychology, Music, Social Sciences, or a related field are beneficial.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines are beneficial.
• Familiarity with basic statistical software or data tools (e.g., Excel, SPSS, R, or similar) and an interest in music and creative industries are beneficial.
