Librarian

The Design and Technology Institute (DTI), in partnership with Precision Quality (PQ) and the Mastercard Foundation, is inviting applications for the position of Librarian to support our academic and learning environment.

This role sits within the Academics Department and reports to the Vice Principal.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day operations of the library, ensuring a safe, organized, and learner-friendly environment.
• Oversee cataloguing, classification, shelving, and maintenance of library stock using the Library Management System (LMS).
• Support staff and learners in accessing physical and digital information resources effectively.
• Manage digital resources, online databases, and ICT tools, including library tablets and equipment.
• Collaborate with academic departments to align library resources with curriculum and learning needs.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Library and Information Science, Education, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2–3 years’ experience in a library, academic, or learning resource centre environment.
• Working knowledge of Library Management Systems, digital cataloguing, and online databases.
• Strong organizational, communication, and record-keeping skills.
• Passion for learning support, information access, and student engagement.
