Dimensions
Your Impact
- The Planner, Fixed Electrical is responsible for developing and maintaining detailed maintenance plans and schedules to optimize asset reliability and minimize downtime. This role ensures that resources, materials, and equipment are efficiently allocated, supporting the Supervisor Planning in executing maintenance activities effectively.
As Part Of Our Team You Will
- Implement detailed maintenance plans for scheduled work.
- Liaise with supply chain for materials and parts availability.
- Schedule work orders based on operational needs.
- Administer and maintain the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
- Liaise with supervisors to align schedules with resource availability.
- Monitor and assess the progress of planned maintenance activities.
- Administer regular reviews of maintenance schedules to identify inefficiencies.
- Prepare reports on maintenance performance and key metrics.
- Assist budgeting and forecasting for maintenance activities.
- Assess opportunities for continuous improvement in work management.
Your Training, Skills And Experience Checklist
Formal Qualification (including Professional Registrations):
- BSc. Electrical Engineering, B. Tech Electrical Engineering, HND Electrical Engineering from any recognized university or college is highly desirable.
Additional Knowledge
- In-depth technical knowledge and understanding of SAP-Plant is highly recommended for this role or required.
Experience
- Minimum of 5 – 10 years’ experience in a maintenance environment.
- Experience with fixed plant, mobile equipment.
- Maintenance planning and scheduling experience.
Problem Solving Ability
- Completes concrete procedural tasks.
- Follows procedural steps to complete work.
- Use practical judgment to overcome problems, or requests assistance.
- Sees alternatives based on trial and error. Improves working methods using day-to-day experiences, procedures, observations of patterns of events, and trial and error.
Technical Skills
- Highly technical knowledge or skills in electrical and control systems on process fixed plant in mining environment or any processing industry.
Social Process Skills
- Self-awareness: Understand own behaviours and is aware of the impact on others and adapt their own behaviour where necessary in order to get a productive outcome for the wider team.
- Team process: Able to be an effective team member by listening, clarifying tasks, receiving and providing feedback, able to be an effective team leader (where applicable) by establishing and maintaining a positive and productive work environment through listening, dealing with different points of view, giving and receiving feedback.
- Collaboration: Build positive working relationships with a diverse range of people across disciplines.
