Environmentalist / Economist Wanted For Employment By Energy Commission

The
Energy Commission seeks results-oriented individuals for the above position.
Job Purpose
The job holder will report to the Head of Office of Social, Environmental and Technological Impact Assessment Division.
Key Responsibilities

• Undertake research and baseline studies
• Develop and implement projects in collaboration with relevant agencies,
• Conduct impact monitoring for every programmes and projects and
• Review and analyse socio-economic and environmental impact of energy-related projects
  

Qualification Required Or Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Economics or Geography
• Masters Degree in Economics, Environmental Science or Sociology, with at least 1 year post qualification experience
  

Competencies

• Knowledge in research and analytical techniques
• Knowledge in Project Management and Evaluation
• High computer proficiency
• Good knowledge of the role of other regulators in the energy sector
• Competencies in report writing and presentation
• Ability to work with little or no supervision
• Team player and good interpersonal relations
• Ability to travel and work in remote areas of Ghana
• Self-motivated and proactive
