Role Description This full-time, on-site Customer Service Agent role is based in Accra. The Customer Service Agent will respond to customer inquiries across phone, email, and in-person channels, providing clear, courteous, and timely assistance. Day-to-day responsibilities include handling questions about products and services, resolving complaints, processing orders, and documenting interactions in the company’s systems. The role also involves gathering feedback on customer experiences, escalating complex issues to appropriate team members, and following up to ensure resolution. The Customer Service Agent will collaborate closely with operations and marketplace teams to support women-led businesses, assist event or fundraiser customers, and maintain a welcoming, respectful experience for all.
Qualifications
- Proven ability in customer-facing roles, including Customer Service and Customer Support skills, with a focus on clear communication and problem-solving.
- Experience contributing to Customer Satisfaction and Customer Experience, including managing inquiries, resolving issues, and maintaining a positive service environment.
- Comfort working as part of a team of Customer Service Representatives, with the ability to coordinate, share information, and support colleagues.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English; additional local languages are an advantage.
- Ability to remain calm, patient, and professional under pressure, and to handle sensitive or emotionally charged situations with empathy.
- Basic computer literacy, including use of email, messaging tools, and customer service or ticketing systems.
- Organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a busy on-site environment.
- Prior experience in retail, hospitality, social enterprise, or nonprofit settings is a plus.
