Job Description/Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, develop, and execute high-quality breakfast, brunch and lunch menus with a strong emphasis on continental cuisine.
- Innovate and test new recipes to keep offerings fresh, seasonal, and aligned with customer preferences.
- Ensure consistency in food quality, taste, and presentation across all menu items.
- Supervise and train kitchen staff in preparation techniques, food safety, and hygiene standards.
- Manage kitchen inventory, including sourcing ingredients and controlling food costs.
- Collaborate with front-of-house and management teams to coordinate smooth service operations.
- Monitor customer feedback and adapt menus and preparation methods accordingly.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant kitchen environment according to local health and safety regulations.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience (3+ years) as a Chef with a focus on breakfast, brunch, and continental cuisine.
- Strong culinary background with formal training.
- Demonstrated expertise in menu creation, recipe development, and food cost management.
- Creative mind set with a passion for seasonal ingredients and culinary innovation.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Knowledge of kitchen equipment and food safety regulations.
Preferred Skills:
- Previous experience in boutique cafés, hotels, or high-end brunch establishments.
- Experience with vegetarian, vegan, or health-conscious menu development.
- Understanding of dietary restrictions and allergen management.
