Job Description/Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
Client Relations & Sales
- Respond to catering inquiries and build relationships with potential and existing clients.
- Conduct site visits and consultations to assess event requirements.
- Prepare and present customized catering proposals and contracts.
- Negotiate pricing, menus, and event
logistics to meet client needs and company profitability goals.
Event Planning & Coordination
- Coordinate with chefs, service staff, and vendors to ensure seamless event execution.
- Oversee logistics such as setup, staffing, décor, equipment rentals, and service timing.
- Create and manage detailed event orders, timelines, and floor plans.
- Ensure compliance with food safety,
health, and sanitation regulations.
Financial Management
- Develop and manage catering budgets, forecasts, and revenue targets.
- Control costs through effective planning and inventory management.
- Review invoices and approve expenses
related to catering operations.
Team Leadership
- Recruit, train, and supervise catering staff and temporary event workers.
- Assign duties and ensure staff deliver high-quality service.
- Provide ongoing feedback and
performance evaluations.
Quality Assurance & Customer Satisfaction
- Ensure the presentation and service standards reflect the company’s brand image.
- Handle client feedback and resolve issues professionally.
- Conduct post-event evaluations and implement improvements.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, Business Administration, or related field (preferred).
- 3–5 years of experience in catering, banquet, or food service management.
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and manage several events simultaneously.
- Proficiency in event management software (e.g., Delphi, Triple seat) and Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations.
- Excellent leadership and customer service orientation.
Working Conditions:
- Flexible schedule required — includes evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Combination of office and on-site event work; may involve lifting and standing for extended periods.
