Job summary
The Principal Analyst, Training supports the effective implementation of the Firm's training consulting mandate and contributes to initiatives that enhance client capability, strengthen the Firm's training portfolio and drive sustainable revenue growth. Reporting to the Practice Lead, Training, the Principal Analyst coordinates assigned training activities across the Firm's Certification Programmes, Small Group Training Programmes, Open-House Training Programmes, In-House Training Programmes, e-Learning and Collaborative Training Programmes, among others, exercising sound professional judgement and supporting effective decision-making within the scope of the role. The role is structured around Training Business Development Support; Market/Industry Research & Analysis; Clients, Partners & Market/Industry Engagement; Training Delivery & Management; and Practice Area Revenue Generation & Business Growth.

Key Responsibilities:
Training Business Development Consulting
The Training Business Developing Consulting role of the Principal Analyst, Training include;
- Support the execution of the training business development and consulting strategy of the Firm in collaboration and guidance of the Consulting Chief Executive.
- Develop training proposals, plans, and marketing strategies in collaboration with the relevant teams to target clients to ensure training performance targets of the Firm are met.
- Identify training opportunities through continuous research to generate quality leads and determine training needs for both existing and prospective institutions.
- Follow up on leads, proposals and client enquiries to convert opportunities into confirmed training engagements.
Market/Industry Research & Analysis
The Market/Industry Research & Analysis role of the Principal Analyst, Training include;
- Conduct research to provide the latest trends within the industry to guide the development and delivery of training programmes to clients.
- Stay informed of industry developments, certification standards, and technology enhancements in training and development.
- Support regular competitor analysis and monitor/track training programmes being implemented by industry competitors to guide training consulting plans and strategies of the Firm.
- Support liaison with the Research, Innovation & Development Practice Area to conduct market analysis to identify emerging trends, skills gaps, and competitive benchmarks to ensure the Firm’s training programme meets clients’ needs and expectations.
- Support the maintenance of an up-to-date repository of market intelligence, client training needs and industry data to support planning and decision making.
Clients, Partners & Market/Industry Engagement
The Clients, Partners & Market Engagement role of the Principal Analyst, Training include;
- Serve as the secondary point of contact for training-related enquiries and act as the primary contact in the absence of the Practice Lead.
- Support in identifying and engaging potential partners and stakeholders to establish joint training programmes.
- Support efforts to maintain strong collaborative relationships with the Firm’s training partners and stakeholders.
- Support liaison with the Research, Innovation & Development Practice Area to conduct research on ways to improve existing partnerships and collaborations and identify new training partnerships.
Training Delivery & Management
The Training Delivery & Management role of the Principal Analyst, Training include;
- Coordinate the day-to-day administration of the Firm’s training programmes including Open house, In-house, e-learning programmes, and collaborative training programmes.
- Ensure the management and maintenance of training facilities and equipment at the Academy.
- Support the planning, design, and execution of training programmes across technical and professional training areas
- Update and maintain the database of the Firm’s training partners/collaborators, external facilitators, ensuring each of these stakeholders meet the Firm’s professional standards and expectations.
- Support all aspects of the training lifecycle, including scheduling, facilitation, budgeting, quality assurance, etc.
Practice Area Revenue Generation & Business Growth
The Principal Analyst, Training’s Practice Area Revenue Generation & Business Growth role include;
- Support the marketing of training programmes offered by the Firm to target clients and prospects, aiming to achieve set training performance and revenue targets.
- Support cashflow monitoring and revenue projections for training programmes.
- Identify and recommend opportunities to expand training programmes into new markets, sectors and industries.
- Contribute ideas and initiatives that support the financial growth and sustainability of the Training Practice Area.
Job Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Information Technology, Business Administration, Marketing/Communications or any related areas BUT with business development or sales experience, including training consulting/sales.
- A minimum of six (6) years of relevant work experience, with proven competencies relevant to the role, three (3) years of which must be at a Supervisory/Consulting role in business development/sales or related area.
- Experience in training coordination and training marketing to corporate bodies is required for the role.
- Knowledge or professional experience in IT, cybersecurity and related industry is recommended.
Specific Competencies
- Business development or sales background and experience is required, with energy and drive to drive training marketing strategies.
- Strong planning and demonstrable project management skills are desired.
- Strong presentation, report writing and interpersonal skills with a strategic mindset and the ability to communicate professionally.
- Proven experience in developing and executing training strategies in a corporate or consulting environment.
- Networking skills and membership of professional and business-oriented social networks/groups, with ability to approach/network with business leaders (Training Managers/Heads, CEOs, Board Chairs/Members and Key Decision-Makers, etc.)
- Knowledge of cybersecurity/data protection and with a technical certification in any of these areas is recommended.
