Job summary
The Environment, Health, Safety & Compliance Officer is responsible for promoting and maintaining a safe, healthy, environmentally responsible, and compliant workplace. The role involves implementing HSE policies, conducting risk assessments and safety inspections, monitoring environmental practices, investigating incidents, and ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and organizational standards. The officer also provides HSE training and awareness to employees, maintains compliance records and reports, identifies potential risks, recommends corrective actions, and works with relevant teams to continuously improve health, safety, environmental, and compliance performance.

Job Responsibilities
- Coordinate environmental, sanitation, occupational health and safety, and GMP programmes across the factory.
- Conduct regular factory inspections, workplace risk assessments, and incident investigations.
- Monitor chemical safety, waste management, pest control, sanitation, and general factory hygiene.
- Coordinate employee safety, sanitation, environmental, and compliance training.
- Maintain regulatory permits, licences, compliance records, and ensure readiness for regulatory inspections.
- Conduct internal compliance audits and follow up on corrective actions.
- Monitor compliance with applicable environmental, occupational health and safety, sanitation, GMP, and regulatory requirements.
- Promote good housekeeping, safe work practices, and hygienic conditions throughout the factory.
- Identify potential environmental and workplace safety risks and recommend appropriate corrective and preventive measures.
Qualification/Experience
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Environmental Engineering/Science, or a related scientific or engineering discipline.
- A background in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or Biochemistry is particularly preferred.
- Three (3) years of relevant work experience, preferably in a manufacturing, food/feed, chemical, pharmaceutical, or similar industrial environment.
- Knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Management, GMP, HACCP, and relevant regulatory requirements.
- Training or certification in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Management, GMP, HACCP, or related systems will be an advantage.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other relevant applications.
