Job descriptions & requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise daily poultry farm operations and farm workers.
- Monitor feeding, watering, vaccination, medication, and general bird health.
- Track egg production, mortality rates, growth, and overall flock performance.
- Maintain strict hygiene, biosecurity, and sanitation standards.
- Manage inventory for poultry feed, medications, equipment, and farm supplies.
- Maintain accurate records of farm activities, production, and inventory.
- Promptly identify and report signs of disease or operational issues.
- Ensure poultry houses and equipment are clean and properly maintained.
- Report farm performance and challenges to management.
Requirements:
- Diploma, HND, or Degree in Agriculture, Animal Science, Poultry Science, or a related field.
- 2–3 years of experience in poultry farm supervision or management.
- Practical knowledge of poultry production and flock management.
- Strong leadership abilities and worker supervision skills.
- Excellent record-keeping and organizational skills.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to drive.
- Willingness to work flexible hours on-site at the farm.
- Responsible, hardworking, and detail-oriented.
