About Traaple
Traaple is a travel-tech platform curating deeply local, culturally immersive experiences across African cities. We connect travelers with hosts, tastemakers, and real stories; creating a living archive of what it feels like to explore Africa.
We’re not just another booking site. We’re a creative, operations-driven team building a new kind of infrastructure for how the world engages African travel. Our soft launch begins this July; and we’re sprinting to make it unforgettable.
The Role
We’re hiring an Operations Specialist – Launch Track to help drive the behind-the-scenes work, that powers our platform. This is a sharp, high-ownership role focused on coordination, logistics, and systems building during our most critical growth phase.
You’ll work closely with the CEO and launch pod by supporting supplier onboarding, partner logistics, platform flows, internal processes, and operational fire-fighting as we gear up for public launch in August.
What You’ll Do
Supplier & Partner Coordination: Support onboarding, communication, and activation of local experience partners
Platform Operations: Ensure listings, payments, and bookings flow smoothly; flag bugs or drop-offs
Process Design: Create lightweight systems and checklists for tasks like partner vetting, booking confirmations, and event logistics
CX + Issue Resolution: Support real-time flagging and triaging of launch bugs, supplier issues, and booking hiccups
Tools + Reporting: Use ClickUp, Airtable, and Google tools to track activity, log updates, and surface gaps
Support Strategic Ops: Help the CEO and launch leads operationalize plans, sprints, and experiments
Who You Are
· Sharp, reliable, detail-oriented and calm under pressure
· Experience in fast-paced environments: events, hospitality, logistics, or early-stage startups
· Great communicator: can coordinate with partners, troubleshoot with users, and manage tasks independently
· Highly organized: you turn chaos into systems
- Curious, collaborative, quietly relentless
Nice to Have (Not Required)
- Experience with ClickUp, Notion, Airtable or equivalent project tools
- Familiarity with marketplaces, travel platforms, or B2B partnerships
- Interest in travel, events, or hospitality within African cities
What You Get
- High-impact, high-ownership work during our most exciting phase
- Mentorship and growth opportunities across ops, CX, product and partnerships
- Hybrid work setup with mandatory in-office presence on Fridays
- Potential accommodation support for high-intensity launch windows
- A chance to help rewrite how people experience African cities
