Mep & Processing Maintenance Manager

The Challenge: Are you a Maintenance Leader or just a Supervisor?

At Tropo Farms, we don't operate in a "perfect ecosystem." We are looking for a battle-hardened MEP & Processing Maintenance Manager to take full ownership of our infrastructure and industrial capabilities.

This role is not for a "desk engineer" or someone looking for their first management break. You will manage multiple dispersed sites, navigate a slow procurement process, and lead a technical team that requires constant auditing and high-level technical mentorship. We need a manager who comes to put order into chaos, not someone who needs to be taught how to lead.

What You Will Do

• Restore Order: Implement formal procedures and maintenance routines where they are currently lacking.
• Technical Auditing: Our base technicians have skill gaps. You must have deeper practical knowledge than your crew to identify wrong diagnostics and ensure work is done right the first time.
• Manage in Scarcity: Procurement is slow; the plant cannot stop. You will lead contingency planning, manage critical spares, and find safe, creative ways to keep equipment running while awaiting definitive solutions.
• Utility & Infrastructure Ownership: Take charge of Power Generation (Diesel/Solar/Grid), high/low voltage distribution, and water treatment across all sites.
• Cold Chain & Processing: Direct the maintenance of industrial refrigeration (ice machines/cold rooms) and food processing machinery, ensuring zero downtime for production.
• Project Vision: Lead the integration of new equipment for upcoming expansions, building maintenance protocols from scratch.

Hard Requirements (Non-Negotiable)

• Education: BSc in Electrical, Electronic, Electromechanical Engineering, or Mechatronics.
• Experience: Minimum 8+ years of experience in industrial plant maintenance. You must have managed multi-site operations previously.
• Deep Technical Expertise: Provable, hands-on experience with Diesel Generators/Alternators, Industrial Refrigeration (HVAC/Cold Rooms), Electrical Networks, and PLC/Automation systems.
• Leadership: Experience managing third-party contractors and large, dispersed teams in difficult environments.

We are NOT looking for:

• Generic CVs: If your resume is full of "textbook phrases" (e.g., "overseeing maintenance," "ensuring safety") without naming specific machines you fixed or problems you solved, you will be disqualified.
• Desk Engineers: If your experience is primarily theoretical, focused on software and meetings without direct plant-floor intervention, you will not survive this role.
• Inflated Titles: We are looking for real achievements (budget management, infrastructure optimization) rather than people who were managers in title only while performing administrative tasks.
• First-time Managers: We do not have the structure to teach you how to be a boss. You must arrive ready to lead.
