Job Summary

UF Poultry runs a 23,000-layer commercial farm that is scaling fast. We are not looking for the usual “farm manager.” We need an operations commander who already lives disciplined routines, owns numbers, and pushes teams to hit them—whether you learned that in a dairy plant, bottling line, cold-chain hub, or another high-tempo production floor. Poultry experience is an advantage, not a requirement. Your mandate is to deliver full operational stability within 90 days and sustained margin growth after that.

Job Description/Requirements

Core Responsibilities:


  • Daily Operations – Run production routines, 07:30 KPI huddles, and close-out actions.
  • People Leadership – Build and coach a 15-person team; uphold zero-tolerance standards on alcohol, drugs, misconduct.
  • Biosecurity & Risk – Keep strict visitor logs, biosecurity protocols, and rapid-response protocols.
  • Financial & Inventory Control – Own the 13-week cash-flow file, approve feed and spares, monitor cost per crate.
  • Continuous Improvement – Lead quarterly projects (e.g., feed trials, waste valorisation) and present gains to the owner.


Core Skill:


  • Execution Discipline: 5+ years running a production shift or facility of 20+ staff with documented KPI results
  • Cost Control: At least one example of reducing unit cost or scrap by ≥ 8 %
  • SOP Design & Audit: Rolled out and enforced written procedures on the shop floor
  • Team Leadership: Hired, trained, and performance-managed frontline teams
  • Data Fluency: Built or maintained dashboards in Excel, Sheets, or similar
  • Education: Degree/HND in Engineering, Operations, Agriculture, Food Science, or similar. Advanced qualifications (MBA, Lean Six Sigma) are welcome but not required.


Compensation & Benefits:


  • Base Salary: ₵ 4,000 – ₵ 6,000 per month
  • Performance Bonus: Up to ₵ 6,000 quarterly + 2 % profit share (based on cost and profit targets)
  • Housing & Meals: Private room, utilities, Wi-Fi, and two daily meals
  • Training Allowance: ₵ 3,000 per year for professional development
  • Health Cover: National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS)
  • Annual Retreat: Off-site performance review and development workshop
