Waiter / Waitress

Groupe Sebastien is a management company for several brands comprising restaurants, outdoor catering services, school catering and schools. The Sandbox Beach Club, one of the restaurants managed by Groupe Sebastien, is a state-of-the-art beach resort with a breathtaking view of the Atlantic Ocean. It is the first exclusive beach club destination in Ghana, pushing the boundaries of entertainment and lifestyle in Ghana.









We are looking for an experienced, smart and customer-oriented Waiter/Waitress to join our team. The Waiter or Waitress will assist customers by noting their order, serving their requested meals, and preparing bills at the end of the meal. To be successful in the role you must have the endurance to stand for long hours and have patience with difficult customers. You should be able to anticipate the need of customers and provide services in a friendly manner.

Responsibilities

The core duties involve

• Greeting customers politely as they enter the restaurant
• Showing customers to their tables, presenting the menu and taking orders accurately including any special requests.
• Maintaining an up-to-date working knowledge of the menu items and being aware of allergy information in order to answer inquiries about items on the menu.
• Offering food and wine suggestions.
• Informing customers of special items not listed on the menu.
• Inputting the order into POS System.
• Working with kitchen staff to process and expedite food orders.
• Ensuring customers are satisfied with their food orders, beverages, and service.
• Upselling food and beverage items throughout the meal.
• Monitoring customer's needs and promptly handling requests.
• Handling customer complaints in a polite and professional manner.
• Maintaining the table setting by clearing courses as completed, replacing utensils, refreshing water glasses, dealing with spills
• Preparing and providing customers with accurate cheques for the meal.
• Processing cash and credit card payments
• Preparing to-go boxes for customers
• Presetting and re-setting tables for customers including decorations, condiments, napkins, utensils
• Maintaining a clean and organized service area
  
  

Requirements

Qualification Required & Experience

• HND or Degree in Hospitality Management or related fields
• Minimum of 1 year experience in this role
• Flexible and willing to work different schedules
  
  

REMUNERATION

Qualified candidate will be paid a monthly gross salary range of GHS1000 – GHS1300, with Service Charge, Overtime, SSNIT Contribution payment, hospital allowance and staff lunch among other benefits.
