Position Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and reliable Tour Guide & Administrative Assistant to join our team. This dual role is ideal for someone who is passionate about travel, deeply organized, and excited to grow with a company that values people, purpose, and progress.
The successful candidate will:
- Serve as a friendly and knowledgeable tour guide for guests visiting Ghana
- Assist with administrative tasks, including data entry, research, and client communications.
- Contribute to marketing efforts, such as social media support, content ideas, and community outreach.
Key Responsibilities as a Tour Guide:
- Lead engaging and informative tours for groups of varying sizes
- Ensure guest safety and comfort throughout tour experiences
- Share accurate, engaging information about destinations, cultures, and histories
- Handle guest inquiries and provide excellent customer service
- Maintain a professional appearance and demeanour at all times
- Adapt tour content based on group dynamics and interests
- Represent the brand with enthusiasm and authenticity.
As an Administrative Assistant:
- Perform accurate data entry and maintain customer databases
- Conduct research for new tour destinations and experiences
- Conduct research for upcoming tours, vendors, and experiences.
- Assist in planning and logistics coordination for tours.
- Assist with marketing activities, including social media content and promotional materials
- Handle booking inquiries and reservation management
- Prepare tour materials and ensure equipment is ready
- Support general office operations as needed
- Contribute to marketing tasks, including writing captions, handling inquiries, and light social media engagement.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent required
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and time-management skills
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office or Google Workspace
- Ability to travel and work weekends or holidays when needed
- Physical ability to lead walking tours and handle tour equipment
- Excellent spoken and written English (additional local languages a bonus)
- Ability to multitask and stay calm under pressure
- Willingness to learn new skills and take feedback constructively
- A proactive attitude with a passion for excellence
Desired Qualities
- Experience in tourism, customer service, or administration
- Interest in local history, culture, or tourism
- Multilingual capabilities (preferred but not required)
- Basic knowledge in digital marketing (preferred but not required)
