The Spa Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a spa facility, ensuring exceptional customer service, profitability, staff performance, and adherence to health and wellness standards. This role combines leadership, business management, and deep knowledge of spa treatments and wellness practices.

Key Responsibilities
Operations Management
- Oversee day-to-day spa operations, including scheduling, service delivery, and facility maintenance
- Ensure all treatments and services meet established quality standards
- Maintain a clean, safe, and relaxing environment in compliance with health regulations
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies (oils, creams, linens, equipment)
Staff Leadership & Development
- Recruit, train, and supervise therapists, aestheticians, and support staff
- Develop staff schedules and manage attendance
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching or disciplinary action when necessary
- Foster a positive, professional, and customer-focused team culture
Customer Experience
- Ensure exceptional guest service and personalized client care
- Handle customer complaints and resolve issues professionally
- Build strong client relationships to encourage repeat business
- Implement customer feedback systems and improve service delivery
Financial Management
- Develop and manage budgets, revenue targets, and cost controls
- Monitor financial performance, including sales, expenses, and profitability
- Create pricing strategies and promotional packages
- Prepare financial and operational reports for senior management
Sales & Marketing
- Design and execute marketing campaigns to attract new clients
- Promote spa services, packages, and retail products
- Collaborate with marketing teams or external partners
- Track and analyze marketing effectiveness and adjust strategies
Compliance & Standards
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations
- Maintain licenses, certifications, and operational permits
- Uphold company policies and industry best practices
- Ensure proper sanitation of tools and treatment areas
Service & Product Expertise
- Stay updated on spa trends, treatments, and wellness innovations
- Train staff on new services and product usage
- Recommend treatments and retail products to clients
- Maintain relationships with product suppliers and vendors
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree / Masters in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field
- Professional certification in spa or wellness management (advantage)
- 6+ years of experience in spa or hospitality management
- Strong knowledge of spa treatments, skincare, and wellness therapies
