Job summary

We are seeking a highly driven and technically grounded Business Development Manager to lead the growth of our engineering services business across Ghana and the West African mining sector. This is a hands-on, field-oriented role requiring a professional who can identify opportunities, engage clients at technical and operational levels, and convert business opportunities into sustainable revenue streams.

Job descriptions & requirements

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities in the mining and industrial sectors across West Africa
  • Actively prospect, engage, and convert clients, including mining companies, contractors, and EPCMs
  • Conduct site visits to identify maintenance, repair, and refurbishment opportunities
  • Develop and propose engineering service solutions aligned to client operational needs
  • Interpret engineering drawings and scope technical work requirements
  • Work with internal teams to develop costing, proposals, and commercial offers
  • Drive pipeline development, opportunity qualification, and conversion
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers in client organizations
  • Support the positioning of Servmet as a trusted technical services partner
  • Collaborate with Servaco’s product and technical teams to deliver integrated solutions
  • Prepare and deliver technical presentations and proposals


Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in business development within:
  • Mining services
  • Engineering services
  • Industrial maintenance or technical sales
  • Proven experience in West African mining markets is a strong advantage
  • Strong understanding of:
  • Mechanical systems
  • Workshop repair processes
  • Maintenance strategies in heavy industry

  • Ability to identify and convert maintenance opportunities into revenue
  • Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings and technical specifications
  • Experience in costing and proposal development

  • Ability to operate effectively in a field-driven, unstructured environment
