Head of Operations

• Develops and implements the operational strategy for VDL Fulfilment in alignment with the company’s overall business objectives and growth plans.
• Provides leadership in designing scalable fulfilment processes capable of supporting increasing e-commerce volumes and expanding vendor portfolios.
• Identifies operational opportunities and implements innovative solutions to enhance efficiency, speed, and service reliability.
• Develops and implements operational processes and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to enhance efficiency and productivity.
• Leads initiatives to modernize fulfilment operations through automation, digital tools, and process innovation.
• Continuously reviews and redesigns fulfillment workflows (order management, picking, packaging, dispatch, and returns) to improve turnaround time and reduce operational costs.
• Establishes and drives a culture of continuous improvement across all operational units.
• Monitors and evaluates operational performance and implements interventions to improve service delivery.
• Leads and monitors the day-to-day logistics operations, including packaging, customer service and last-mile deliveries across all regions of Ghana.
• Plans, reviews and approves delivery routes to ensure efficient and timely delivery of goods.
• Manages relationships with third-party delivery partners, regional managers and supervisors on regional operations.
• Provides regular monthly reports on operations, delivery/team performance and operational costs.
• Establishes new partnerships and identifies opportunities for collaboration with third party logistics stakeholders.
• Leads the expansion of rider capacity and the expansion of new hubs.
• Performs any other official duties that may be assigned from time to time.
