Job Description/Requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic academic and administrative leadership for the preschool to ensure a safe, nurturing and child-centred learning environment.
- Supervise, coach and support preschool teachers and caregivers in lesson planning, classroom management and ongoing professional development.
- Implement and monitor age-appropriate curricula, assessments and learning activities that are aligned with national and/or international early childhood standards.
- Maintain strict standards of health, safety, hygiene and child protection across all preschool operations.
- Develop, communicate and enforce school policies, routines and procedures that promote the smooth and efficient running of the preschool.
- Build and sustain positive relationships with parents through regular communication, meetings, workshops and reports on children’s progress.
- Track pupils’ academic, behavioural and social-emotional development and coordinate timely support or interventions when necessary.
- Plan, manage and account for the preschool’s budget, resources and teaching/learning materials to ensure effective utilisation.
- Coordinate and lead key school events and activities such as open days, graduations, orientations and parent engagement programmes.
- Liaise with school management and relevant regulatory bodies to ensure the preschool complies with all educational, statutory and quality assurance requirements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Education, School Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of four (4) years of relevant professional experience, preferably in teaching, educational leadership, or school administration.
- Demonstrated ability to provide instructional leadership, manage school operations, support staff development, and maintain a safe, positive learning environment.
