Job Summary
A pharmaceutical company, located within the Tema Free Zones Enclave, is seeking to employ a Maintenance Officer to provide support for the Maintenance department of the company. The Maintenance Officer will carry out maintenance, repair and planned maintenance of equipment and facilities as required, delivering a high level of service to Production.

Job Description/Requirements
Key technical responsibilities:
- Design maintenance strategies, procedures, and methods.
- Carry out routine maintenance work and respond to equipment faults.
- Diagnose breakdown problems.
- Fit new parts and make sure equipment is working correctly.
- Carry out quality inspections on machinery
- Liaise with client departments, customers, and other engineering and production colleagues.
- Arrange specialist procurement of fixtures, fittings, or components.
- Control maintenance tools, stores, and equipment.
- Monitor and control maintenance costs.
- Deal with emergencies, unplanned problems, and repairs.
- Improve health and safety policies and procedures.
- Write maintenance strategies to help with installation and commissioning guidelines.
- Ensure there is continuous cover of the machinery and equipment in case of breakdowns.
- Perform any other duties assigned or delegated by his/her immediate supervisor.
Qualifications
Minimum of HND or Vocational Training Certificate, with at least 3 years working
experience in a manufacturing environment.
General Skills/Experience Required
The successful candidate will have:
- Proven maintenance skills
- A keen eye for details
- Skills in the use of hand and power tools
- Ability to take apart machines, equipment, or devices to remove and replace defective parts.
- Experience performing routine maintenance
- Demonstrable ability to analyze information in a logical manner and to prepare coherent investigative and/or technical reports
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (particularly, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
