Job summary

We are seeking an experienced, proactive, and detail-oriented Café General Manager to oversee the daily operations of our café. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Cafe / hospitality management, excellent leadership abilities and a passion for delivering outstanding customer service. This role requires someone who is highly organized, people-focused, and eager to stay hands-on with both operations and product knowledge.

Job descriptions & requirements

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the café, ensuring smooth and efficient service
  • Lead, train, and supervise staff to maintain high performance and exceptional customer service standards
  • Manage staff scheduling, attendance, and performance evaluations
  • Ensure punctuality and time efficiency across all operations and team members
  • Monitor inventory levels, place orders, and manage supplier relationships
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations
  • Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback in a professional and timely manner
  • Develop and implement strategies to increase sales and overall profitability
  • Manage budgets, track expenses, and prepare financial reports
  • Maintain cleanliness, ambiance, and presentation of the café at all times
  • Support and guide staff in the preparation of beverages, including coffee, matcha, boba, and other specialty drinks
  • Oversee and contribute to the café’s social media presence and customer engagement strategies


Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Café Manager or in a similar hospitality management role
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and people management skills
  • Highly time-conscious with strong organizational abilities
  • Willingness to learn and stay actively involved in beverage preparation and café operations
  • Strong knowledge (or willingness to learn) how to prepare drinks such as coffee, matcha, boba, and other specialty beverages
  • Very articulate with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Social media savvy, with the ability to promote the café and engage customers online
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle pressure effectively
  • Proficiency in basic financial management and reporting
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations
  • Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and shifts as required


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Degree or diploma in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Experience managing high-volume cafés or premium service environments
  • Familiarity with POS systems and inventory management tools
