Job summary
We are seeking an experienced, proactive, and detail-oriented Café General Manager to oversee the daily operations of our café. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Cafe / hospitality management, excellent leadership abilities and a passion for delivering outstanding customer service. This role requires someone who is highly organized, people-focused, and eager to stay hands-on with both operations and product knowledge.

Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the café, ensuring smooth and efficient service
- Lead, train, and supervise staff to maintain high performance and exceptional customer service standards
- Manage staff scheduling, attendance, and performance evaluations
- Ensure punctuality and time efficiency across all operations and team members
- Monitor inventory levels, place orders, and manage supplier relationships
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback in a professional and timely manner
- Develop and implement strategies to increase sales and overall profitability
- Manage budgets, track expenses, and prepare financial reports
- Maintain cleanliness, ambiance, and presentation of the café at all times
- Support and guide staff in the preparation of beverages, including coffee, matcha, boba, and other specialty drinks
- Oversee and contribute to the café’s social media presence and customer engagement strategies
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Café Manager or in a similar hospitality management role
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent interpersonal and people management skills
- Highly time-conscious with strong organizational abilities
- Willingness to learn and stay actively involved in beverage preparation and café operations
- Strong knowledge (or willingness to learn) how to prepare drinks such as coffee, matcha, boba, and other specialty beverages
- Very articulate with excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Social media savvy, with the ability to promote the café and engage customers online
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle pressure effectively
- Proficiency in basic financial management and reporting
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and shifts as required
Preferred Qualifications:
- Degree or diploma in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field
- Experience managing high-volume cafés or premium service environments
- Familiarity with POS systems and inventory management tools
