Job Description
A reputable insurance brokerage firm in Accra is seeking to hire a Business Development Officer to be at the forefront of the overall sales, marketing, and business development efforts of the Company.
Responsibilities
- Pursue leads and business opportunities to meet an annual commission target of GHS 120,000.
- Collaborate with underwriters and the technical team to achieve a 90% customer retention rate.
- Develop and implement sales and marketing strategies to achieve company objectives.
- Build an agency network with 20 new agents, ensuring 70% actively contribute to sales.
- Conduct periodic research to identify market trends and customer needs and develop broad strategies to address these concerns
- Identify skill gaps and oversee training programs for the Sales Department, brokers, agents, and key partners.
- Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and yearly sales performance reports to Executive Management
Qualifications
- Possess a minimum bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, or a related subject.
- Minimum of one year of experience in Insurance sales, with excellent interpersonal and presentation skills.
- Strong communication skills
- Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets
