Job summary

The Shop Attendant is responsible for assisting customers, managing stock, maintaining a clean and organized shop environment, and supporting daily sales operations. The role requires good communication skills, attention to detail, and strong customer service abilities to ensure a positive shopping experience.

Job descriptions & requirements

Key Responsibilities


  • Welcome customers and provide assistance with locating products.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and well-presented shelves and display areas.
  • Restock items, monitor inventory levels, and report low stock to supervisors.
  • Process sales using cash, POS systems, or mobile money.
  • Handle customer inquiries and provide accurate product information.
  • Maintain cleanliness around the shop and ensure aisles are clutter-free.
  • Assist in receiving, unpacking, and arranging new stock.
  • Promote products, upsell items, and support daily sales targets.
  • Ensure proper handling of goods and prevent product damage or loss.
  • Provide daily sales updates and support general shop operations.

  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Basic numeracy for handling payments and sales entries.
  • Good attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work well with others and follow instructions.
  • Reliability, punctuality, and professional appearance.
  • Basic knowledge of using mobile devices or POS systems.


Qualification and Experience


  • SHS certificate or equivalent (minimum requirement).
  • Experience in retail, sales, or customer service is an advantage but not required.
  • Must be willing to work weekends, holidays, or extended hours when needed.
  • Interest in customer service and retail operations.


Location: East Legon

Salary: GHS 1,200 – GHS 1,600
