Job summary
The Shop Attendant is responsible for providing excellent customer service, assisting customers with purchases, and ensuring the shop is well-organized, clean, and fully stocked. The role involves handling sales transactions, managing inventory, and supporting the overall daily operations of the shop.

Responsibilities
Customer Service
- Welcome and greet customers.
- Ascertain customer’s needs and wants, and recommend products that match customer’s needs
- Professionally addressing customer complaints and assisting them
Product Knowledge
- Maintain an in-depth knowledge of Sky Agro products, to provide advice and recommendations to customers
- Keep up to date with existing product information, and stay up to date with new products and industry trends
- Solid understanding of products, mixtures, ingredients, measurements and combinations.
- Accurately describes product features and benefits
Sales
- Actively promote products to customers and provide recommendations based on their needs.
- Upsell additional products when appropriate to increase sales
- Assist customers in locating desired products
- Inform customers of any promotion to encourage sales
Cash Handling
- Accurately process customer transactions accurately and efficiently. Handly cash and any other form of payment securely.
Inventory Management
- Monitor inventory levels and replenish stock as needed.
- Receiving, processing, and organizing returns and deliveries accordingly
- Restocking depleted or low shop products and ensuring that shop is organized according to established guidelines
- Keep shelves, displays, and product storage areas neat and organized.
Shop Maintenance
- Opening and getting shop ready for Sky Agro customers. (cleaning, sweeping, mopping shop floor, wiping down windows and doors, keeping the shop clean and tidy)
- Ensure that appropriate business registration documents are displayed
- Ensure the relevant documents and reports are updated daily with accurate information
Compliance
- Adherence to all Sky Agro policies and procedures.
- Adherence to safety protocols and regulations regarding the handling of agricultural products.
- Any other duties as assigned by manager
Required Skills
Education / Experience
- HND/Degree in agribusiness, agriculture, economics, animal and crop science or related field
- At least 1- 2 years’ work experience

- Calm, confident and assured communicator

- Must have the ability to communicate with diverse personalities
- Must have a client service orientation
- Outgoing personality, with the ability to empathize with customers
- Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications
