Job Summary
The Plumber is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of plumbing systems within the KEDA Ghana Ceramics factory. This role ensures that all water supply, drainage, and sanitation systems operate efficiently and safely, supporting uninterrupted production and a safe working environment for employees.
Key Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain water supply, drainage, and sanitation systems across the factory, including workshops, offices, and employee facilities.
• Respond promptly to plumbing emergencies, leaks, blockages, and other maintenance requests to minimize production downtime.
• Inspect plumbing systems regularly and perform preventive maintenance to ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.
• Collaborate with the maintenance team to plan and execute plumbing-related projects, including pipe replacements, fixture installations, and system upgrades.
• Ensure proper use, storage, and maintenance of plumbing tools and equipment.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and materials used.
• Adhere strictly to health, safety, and environmental regulations in all plumbing work.
• Assist in training junior maintenance staff on plumbing best practices, safety procedures, and troubleshooting techniques.
  

Qualifications And Skills

• Proven experience as a plumber in an industrial or factory environment is preferred.
• Solid knowledge of plumbing systems, fixtures, tools, and repair techniques.
• Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication skills in English.
• Knowledge of safety standards and procedures in industrial settings.
  

Working Conditions

• On-site, factory environment with exposure to high temperatures and machinery.
• May require standing, bending, and lifting heavy equipment.
• Shift work or emergency call-outs may be required.
