Head Of Human Resources

Our client who provides financial solutions, requires an experienced Head of Human Resources to join their team. Reporting to the Director of Global HR, you primarily lead the HR functions in Ghana and support HR initiatives in other African countries.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Ghana HR department, overseeing all HR operations, strategy, and planning.
• Implement HR plans aligned with business goals, including workforce planning, retention, and performance management.
• Ensure compliance with local labor laws and regulations.
• Localize and implement global HR strategies, frameworks, and programs within the Ghana site.
• Promote a high-performance culture through effective engagement, training, and development programs.
• Collaborate with site leaders and HR stakeholders in other African countries to support local HR needs and challenges.
• Support the rollout of HR policies, systems, and programs across the Africa region, ensuring local adaptation and compliance.
• Drive alignment of HR processes, tools, and culture across all sites while respecting local contexts.
• Advise executive leadership on HR matters, including organizational design, leadership development, and succession planning.
• Partner with Finance, Legal, and Operations on compensation and benefits strategies.

Qualifications

• Must have at least a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Must have at least ten (10) years of progressive work experience in HR with at least five (5) years in a leadership role.
• Experience working in fast-paced and growth-stage companies such as tech and financial services.
• Having worked with a multinational organisation in same or similar capacity is strongly preferred.
• Proven track record in leading HR functions end-to-end (recruitment, performance, L&D, employee relations, etc.).
• Strong knowledge of Ghanaian labor law; familiarity with HR practices across other African countries is a plus.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
