AssemblyAI is growing super quickly! We’re looking for a high energy, high impact and extremely accountable individual with strong finance, analytics, project & program management skills. You will report to the Head of Finance & Operations, and will be the third employee on the Finance team (currently, the team is just the Head of Finance and Controller). This is a fantastic chance to get into a well-capitalized, best-of-breed applied AI company, and help build-out/scale a top tier Finance & Operations organization!

Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities
- Business metrics & KPIs: In coordination with key business partners, create and improve business metrics; set targets; design reports / dashboards; draw insights; present to leadership via digestible written and oral presentations
- Financial & operational modeling: continue to develop and improve our financial & operating models; contribute to long-term financial & capital planning; develop top of funnel modeling; develop capacity model
- Planning: Continue to iterate and improve our near-mid term planning processes; depending on the start date, own a meaningful portion of our 2023 plan
- Reporting: Improve our internal and external reporting capabilities; drive follow-up actions and responses
- Interface with legal counsel and streamline commercial and corporate legal matters
- Corporate development responsibilities as-needed
Requirements
- 3-7+ years of experience in Investment Banking, Consulting or start-up experience (biz ops / analytics / finance)
- Passion, energy, scrappiness, hunger and hustle
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Ability to apply traditional investment banking and consulting thinking frameworks to solve ambiguous financial, data analytics and operational biz problems
- Incredible presentation building skills for internal and external audiences
- Ability to interface with interdisciplinary business leaders, and use traditional business frameworks to assist them in problem solving
- Top-notch Microsoft excel, google sheets, google slides and powerpoint skills.
