The Group Head of Finance and Accounts will lead the financial strategy, planning, reporting, and control functions at Adansi Travels. The role ensures robust financial governance, efficient capital utilization, and compliance with all statutory and board requirements. As a key member of the executive management team, the Finance Head serves as the financial conscience of the company, advising leadership on performance, risk, and growth opportunities.

Job Description/Requirements
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Financial Leadership
- Develop and implement group-wide financial strategies aligned with corporate goals.
- Provide strategic financial input and leadership on decision-making issues affecting the company (e.g., investments, mergers, new projects).
- Serve as a financial advisor to the CEO and Board, preparing insights for quarterly and annual meetings.
- Support strategic planning and forecasting across all subsidiaries.
Financial Planning & Analysis
- Lead the preparation and monitoring of annual budgets and long-term financial plans.
- Conduct financial modeling and scenario analysis to support strategic initiatives.
- Analyze performance variances, recommend corrective actions, and prepare financial dashboards for management review.
- Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting to management and regulators.
Accounting & Reporting
- Oversee preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial statements for the Group.
- Maintain compliance with IFRS, Ghanaian tax laws, and statutory reporting standards.
- Ensure all financial transactions are recorded accurately and in a timely manner.
- Coordinate annual audits and liaise with external auditors, tax consultants, and banks.
Treasury & Cash Flow Management
- Manage group cash flow and liquidity to ensure operational efficiency.
- Supervise all bank relationships, investment portfolios, and financial instruments.
- Implement effective working capital management and cost control systems.
- Approve and monitor all major payments, reconciliations, and transfers.
Risk Management & Compliance
- Identify, assess, and mitigate financial and operational risks.
- Enforce internal control systems and regularly review their effectiveness.
- Ensure compliance with tax, pension, and regulatory obligations.
- Lead internal financial audits and develop risk mitigation frameworks.
Team Leadership & Capacity Building
- Supervise and mentor finance staff across all Adansi branches and subsidiaries.
- Build financial discipline and accountability within teams.
- Promote continuous professional development, ethics, and integrity in the finance function.
- Coordinate performance reviews and capacity-building plans for finance officers.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Timely preparation and submission of financial reports and statements.
- Accuracy and reliability of financial data and forecasts.
- Budget variance within approved limits.
- Effective liquidity and cash flow management.
- Compliance with statutory and audit requirements.
- Group profitability and cost optimization.
- Improvement in internal controls and audit ratings.
- Staff development and retention within the finance team.
Qualification and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
- A Chartered Accountant (ACCA, ICA, CPA) certification is mandatory.
- Master’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration is an advantage.
- Minimum of 10 years’ progressive experience, with at least 5 years in a senior finance leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS, tax laws, and financial management principles.
- Experience managing group or multi-entity financial operations preferred.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, or ERP systems).
- Excellent analytical, strategic, and communication skills.
- Age Requirement: 35 – 50 years.
