Responsibilities:
- Oversee accounts department and its operations
- Prepare and manage petty cash register
- Prepare weekly/monthly budgets and ensure expenses stay within budget
- Prepare daily and weekly report of all expenses, office budget and financial performance
- Collaborate with other departments to achieve financial goals.
- Process payments to suppliers or vendors an maintain good relationship with them
- Seek approval from managing director before disbursement of any funds
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and negotiate favorable terms and pricing with vendors
- Issue payments for approved budgets for other departments
- Issue invoices to customers and maintain records
- Ensure availability of cash for expenses at all times
- Responsible for reconciliation of accounts and cash flows
- Communicate with vendors regarding billings and payments
- Process SSNIT, PAYE, VAT & WHT
- Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and standards.
- Advise management on prudent financial practices
