Job summary
The Accountant is responsible for managing financial records, preparing accurate reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies. This role involves handling day-to-day accounting transactions, reconciling accounts, preparing financial statements, monitoring budgets, and supporting management in financial decision-making. The Accountant also ensures timely reporting, proper documentation, and adherence to regulatory and internal controls.

Responsibilites:
- Prepare payment vouchers and ensure that all financial records are recorded into their respective Accounting journals
- Prepare Monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements including profit and loss account, Balance Sheet, Cashflow and also provide Management Account to the management team as well as to the Board.
- Advice on taxes and ensure that compliance is met.
- Ensure the discharge of the Company’s financial management policy
- Must advise management on how to improve financial administration
- Monitor spending and advise management accordingly
Qualification and Skills
- 3+ years experience in an Accountant position
- 3+ years experience in a supervisory capacity
- At least a Bachelor's degree required
- Excellent People management skills
- Proven track record of successfully undertaking a similar role
- Ability to coach and mentor employees on a one-on-one basis as well as as a group
