Job summary
To virtually engage customers with loans that are in early arrears, with the aim to regularise the repayment.

Key Responsibilities
- Follow up on customer with loan arrears less than a number of days (to be defined).
- Understand the root cause of the delay in repayment and empathise with customers where necessary to ensure the root cause is understood and resolved (where possible)
- Advise customers of necessary actions and strategies for debt repayment
- Arrange for debt repayment or establish repayment schedules, based on customers’ financial situation
- Sort and file correspondence and perform miscellaneous clerical duties, such as answering correspondence and writing reports.
- Answer customer queries regarding issues with their loan repayments.
Requirements:
- Key skills and requirements
- High integrity and firm personality
- Skilled in computer software usage and applications especially Word, Power Point and Excel
- Strong negotiation abilities and practical loan recovery skills
- Good communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage time with little supervision
- Education and professional training
- A degree in Accounting, Finance, Purchasing and Supply or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in loan recovery, monitoring and/or underwriting
- University Degree: First Degree Business
