The Junior Accountant will assist in managing the company’s day-to-day accounting and financial operations. This role supports the finance team by maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, processing transactions, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and company policies. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and eager to grow their accounting knowledge in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Perform data entry for financial transactions and maintain accurate ledgers.
- Update accounts receivable and issue invoices.
- Act as backup for processing accounts payable and ensure timely invoice payment.
- Post journal entries and update financial records in accounting software.
- Gather and process payroll information and calculate payroll taxes.
- Reporting and analysis
- Preparing and analyzing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, balance sheets, and income statements.
- Help compile financial reports to ensure compliance with government regulations.
- Assist in budget preparation and financial planning.
- Reconciliation and compliance
- Conduct bank reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies.
- Reconcile general ledger accounts.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and financial regulations.
- Audit and closing
- Support internal and external audits.
- Assist with the month-end and year-end closing processes.
Other duties
- Maintain records of company assets and liabilities.
- Provide feedback to supervisors on budget forecasts and resource utilization.
- Ensure the confidentiality of financial information.
Requirements:
- Should have a minimum of a Diploma
- Should have at least 2 years of working experience
