Job Description/Requirements
What You’ll Do
- Ensure an accurate and timely close process by overseeing close procedures and the preparation of monthly financial statements in a timely and accurate manner
- Manage the preparation and filing of required regulatory reports, including sales/VAT tax compliance, returns, and payment support
- Assist with audit preparation (preparing audit schedules, responses, etc.)
- Partner with our European accounting team to ensure accurate and timely reporting for consolidations
- Analyze and identify opportunities to reduce inefficiencies and improve internal processes and documentation (accounting memos, job aids, etc.)
- Assist with new ERP system selection and implementation
- Partner with the Strategic Finance team to assist with the development and tracking of departmental budgets
- Work on special projects as needed across all Financial Reporting Teams
- Take an active role in managing, supporting, and developing accounting staff
Preferred Skills & Experiences
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
- 8+ years of professional work experience related to financial accounting/reporting (some public accounting experience preferred)
- Graduate program (MBA) or certification (CPA) a plus
- Excellent knowledge of Excel, Google Sheets, and QuickBooks
- Strong understanding of accounting policies and procedures to comply with accounting standards and ensure adequate internal controls
- Analytical, detail-oriented, and highly responsive to changing priorities
- Sense of ownership and responsibility
- Strong organizational, collaboration, and communication skills working in a fully distributed team
