Job Description/Requirements
Job Purpose: To ensure effective financial management by overseeing bookkeeping, budgeting, invoicing, receipting, financial projections, bank reconciliations, financial reporting, and payroll. The role requires a strong understanding of pharmaceutical invoicing and retail practices, proactive auditing of daily sales, and the ability to maintain vendor satisfaction through timely payments and strategic negotiations for favorable discounts and payment terms
Main Duties:
- Oversee daily financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable, invoicing, and bank reconciliations.
- Prepare and manage company budgets, ensuring alignment with financial projections and cost control measures.
- Prepare accurate financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Identify and onboard new vendors, build strong vendor relationships, and negotiate favorable rates, discounts, and payment terms.
- Conduct financial analysis and provide insights to support business initiatives and strategic projects.
- Generate and submit daily and monthly financial reports for management review and decision-making.
- Manage payroll processing and ensure timely filing of taxes, including income tax, VAT, and statutory contributions such as SSNIT.
- Perform any other duties as may be assigned to support the finance and administrative functions.

- Finance and Administration: Solid understanding of financial principles, budgeting, payroll, and administrative systems.
- Pharmaceutical Knowledge: Familiar with pharmaceutical invoicing, retail operations, and inventory processes.
- Accounting Software Proficiency: Competent in using accounting tools and systems for bookkeeping and financial reporting.
- Report Writing & Business Communication: Experienced in preparing clear, structured, and professional financial and management reports.
- Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong ability to assess financial issues, interpret data, and recommend actionable solutions.

Qualification:
- Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree Business administration; Accounting, Finance or Business Management from a recognized tertiary institution
- ACCA/ICA/CIMA qualified is an advantage
- MBA or post graduate qualification in a Business-related field is a plus
Experience:
- Must have 3–5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry or a related field, with a strong understanding of finance, administration, and retail operations
