Role Description
This is a full-time role for an Finance & Accounts Lead located in Accra. The Finance & Accounts Lead is responsible for the accounting & finance functions of Leasafric Logistics. This person is critical and an important addition to the team responsible for preparing accounts, budgeting, and managing financial information.
Key Responsibilities
· Work with management to develop and execute strategic plans of the organization
· Work closely with the Managing Director to ensure smooth operations of finance and accounting as well as administrative processes
· Prepare monthly and quarterly financial summaries and assist in budget preparation and financial forecasting
· Oversee accounting duties including invoice processing, expenses tracking, budget monitoring and reconciling accounts
· Work with external auditors and other agencies to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and tax planning
· Ensure robust processes and procedures are in place to safeguard the company’s assets
· Collaborated with responsible teams to generate expense reports, review financial statements and provide budget insights
· Ensure all financial records comply with company policies and financial regulations, facilitating audits as and when necessary
· Assist with the end of year preparation of financial statements for statutory and related purposes
· Coordinate all audit engagement
· Management of the payroll process
· Prepare monthly management reports
· Other duties as assigned by senior management
Qualifications & Experience
· Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting ,Finance or related field from an accredited institution
· Solid knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
· Minimum of 4 years post chartered experience or 4 years in a supervisory role
· Must be a chartered accountant (ACCA, ICA ,CPA)
· Being a chartered tax practitioner is an advantage
· High proficiency in accounting software (Sage, QuickBooks , SAP, Xero etc.) and MS office Suite particularly excel and PowerPoint
· Experienced in creating financial statements and general ledger functions
· Excellent organizational skills
· Accuracy and attention to details
· Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
· Suitable candidates must be business oriented in their approach to work and is expected to be self-driven and able to work and deliver on tasks with little or no supervision
