Job Summary

We are searching for organised, intelligent, hardworking, task completion focused and driven individuals with an eye for detail. The individual must be curios and should be given to continuous improvement. The individual shall be responsible for book keeping, document handling, gathering financial data (inventory, purchases, labour costs, comparing budgets with actual expenses, etc.) both historical since company inception and present to uncover inefficiencies and creating of financial reports and other monitoring reports for decision making. The individual should be able to replicate this task across different companies. The individual must be well-versed in book keeping and financial analysis. In summary, What’s coming in? What’s going out? How can the company improve?

Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities

    • Accounting / Expense Data Entry and Document Handling. Historic since company inception and Present

    • Mid Month and Month-end close processes – SSNIT, TAX, Journal Entries, reports Etc.

    • Prepare detailed reports, monthly, quarterly, yearly and ad-hoc

    • Estimating costs and comparing budgets with actual expenses

    • Forecast and analyze costs of processes, labor and inventory

    • Monitor Supplier Balances

    • Conduct research to support future business planning

    • Audit / Analyse our expenses, Operations, etc and find ways to make our operations more cost-efficient.

    • Gather and analyze financial data

    • Monitoring costs after significant variations in construction requirements and/or other business processes

    • Create / Prepare and manage budgets, and monitor spending

    • Make payments on Behalf of the company

    • Monitor changes in processes or methods to calculate effects on overall costs

    • Suggest cost-reducing or profitable solutions

    • Monitoring costs after significant variations in construction requirements and/or other business processes

    • Preparing Accurate financial information allowing Business to plan, forecast and make decisions using the data provided

    • Provide support during regulatory examinations, internal audits and external audits and preparation of the annual audited financial statements

    • Assist the Manager to improve processes, and strengthen controls and reporting

      

Requirements:

    • Minimum of HND Qualification in Accounting / Finance with 3 years of Experience / Bsc Degree with 1 Years Accounting / Finance experience.

    • Must be proficient in Quick Books (Preferred) / Tally

    • Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel

    • Working hours are Mondays to Fridays 7:30am to 5:00pm and Saturdays, 7:30am to 12:30pm

    • Must have a valid driver’s license

    • Must have a knowledge of IT Services and Infrastructure


Skills

    • Must be a continuous learner

    • Must have good foresight and supervisory skills

    • Must be able to work without supervision and must be self driven to achieve outcomes

    • Proven experience as a cost analyst, cost specialist or similar role

    • Experience in data, operational and financial analysis

    • Knowledge of accounting processes and software

    • Strong analytical skills

    • A business acumen

    • Great attention to detail

    • Good communication aptitude

    • Must have good interpersonal working skills.

    • Must have good emotional and intellectual balance.

    • Must be neat and well groomed.
