City Growth & Operations Lead — Kumasi

Night Market is expanding to Kumasi, and we are looking for an exceptional operator to lead the launch and growth in the city.

As the City Growth & Operations Lead, you will own Night Market’s performance in Kumasi. You will be responsible for building our vendor network, recruiting and managing riders, acquiring customers, and ensuring that daily operations run smoothly.

This is not a desk-only role. We need a hands-on builder who understands Kumasi, knows how to use data to make decisions, and can turn plans into measurable results.

What you’ll be responsible for

• Develop and execute Night Market’s launch and growth strategy for Kumasi.
• Identify high-potential neighbourhoods, campuses, food clusters, and commercial areas.
• Acquire and onboard quality food vendors across the city.
• Recruit, train, activate, and manage a reliable rider network.
• Lead customer acquisition through field activations, partnerships, referrals, digital campaigns, and local community initiatives.
• Maintain the right balance between customer demand, vendor availability, and rider supply.
• Track key metrics including orders, active customers, vendor performance, rider availability, delivery times, cancellations, retention, and acquisition costs.
• Use market feedback and operational data to identify problems and growth opportunities.
• Build strong relationships with vendors, riders, student communities, businesses, and local partners.
• Recruit and manage field agents or other local team members when required.
• Resolve operational challenges quickly and maintain a consistently strong customer experience.
• Provide regular performance reports, insights, and recommendations to Night Market’s leadership.

Who we’re looking for

• You live in Kumasi or have a strong understanding of the city and its commercial ecosystem.
• You have experience in operations, business development, sales, logistics, marketplaces, food delivery, FMCG, or another fast-moving environment.
• You are highly execution-driven and comfortable working both in the field and with data.
• You can analyse numbers, identify trends, and turn insights into action.
• You are an excellent negotiator and relationship builder.
• You can lead teams, set clear targets, and hold people accountable.
• You are resourceful, organised, and able to solve problems without waiting to be told what to do.
• You communicate clearly and can work effectively with different types of people.
• You understand that growth is not only about sign-ups, it is about activation, repeat usage, retention, and sustainable operations.

A university degree is helpful, but proven ability, local market knowledge, and a strong record of getting things done matter more to us.

What success looks like

Within your first few months, you should be able to:

• Build a strong pipeline of high-quality Kumasi vendors.
• Establish a reliable and active rider network.
• Generate consistent customer acquisition and repeat orders.
• Identify the city’s strongest launch zones using field insights and data.
• Maintain healthy delivery times and service quality as order volume grows.
• Build an operating system that can scale across Kumasi.
