Job summary
Beyond a traditional sales role, the Senior Manager, Business Development & Venue Partnerships is a commercial leadership position built for someone who operates independently, thinks like a founder, and takes full ownership of outcomes. You will be responsible for developing your own business plans and goals, troubleshooting commercial and operational challenges as they arise, and delivering against company’s growth targets. You will be company’s primary presence in the field, building relationships with venue partners across the city and managing every stage of the partner journey from the first conversation through to a live and active venue on the platform. You will oversee and support a “Partner Success Lead” ensuring that onboarding calls, product demos, and the operational side of partner management run cleanly behind you. The role carries a structured reporting function. Weekly and monthly, you will produce clear updates on pipeline activity, partner performance, market conditions, and progress against key goals, feeding directly into company’s leadership reporting.

Responsibilities:
Business Development & Strategy
- Develop and own business plans for company’s growth in the Accra market; set clear goals, define the approach and present recommendations to partners for approval.
- Set monthly and quarterly targets across pipeline activity, partner sign-ups, and revenue; review performance against them weekly and adjust strategy where needed
- Define, track, and report on KPIs across the partner portfolio: pipeline velocity, conversion rates, partner retention, and revenue contribution
- Identify new market opportunities, venue categories, and growth vectors that the company should be moving into
- Troubleshoot commercial and operational challenges as they arise; bring solutions, not just problems
Field Sales & Prospecting
- Prospect and build relationships with venue partners across the Ghana market: restaurants, clubs, lounges, beach clubs, event hosts and other operators
- Oversee outbound and inbound sales activity, from first conversation to a signed contract
- Represent the company at industry events, venue visits, and partner meetings
- Maintain a live pipeline tracker and own your numbers: conversion rates, pipeline value, and active partner count
- Qualify prospective partners against company’s standards before onboarding begins; not every venue belongs on the platform
Product Demos & Onboarding Calls
- Oversee and manage the Partner Success Lead in scheduling and running product demonstrations and onboarding calls for prospective and new partners
- Be present on calls, providing senior oversight, stepping in where needed, and ensuring the standard of every interaction reflects company’s positioning
- Ensure partners are walked through the platform, the process, and expectations clearly; nothing left to interpretation
- Confirm that all verified partner information is accurately captured and handed off to initiate the contract and onboarding process
Payments & Commercial Management
- Follow-up, confirm, and manage service fee payments from all active partners
- Track payment status across the partner base and follow up on any overdue or outstanding amounts promptl
- Escalate persistent payment issues and maintain clear records of all commercial transactions
- Coordinate with the Partner Success Lead to ensure invoices are issued accurately and on time
Reporting & Team Management
- Produce weekly progress reports and lead weekly update meetings with the Leadership Team, with support from the Partner Success Lead.
- Produce month-end reports and a next-month engagement plans in the final week of every month
- Manage and support the Partner Success Lead, signing off on their weekly deliverables and flagging any issues
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Business Administration, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in accont management or business development; preferably within hospitality, entertainment, or a consultative sales environment.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Self-directed and field-oriented
- A natural relationship builder; comfortable in rooms and charismatic
- Comfortable using AI tools to produce work, solve problems, and improve processes; you treat AI as a standard part of how you operate, not a novelty.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word; you maintain trackers, reports, and logs to a clean and accurate standard
- Experience in sales, business development, account management, or client-facing roles
- Confident and composed in commercial conversations; contracts, pricing, and pushback do not rattle you
- Organised enough to manage a prospects pipeline and follow through on payments and commitments.
- Strong communicator in English and ideally other Ghanaian local dialects
- Familiarity with Ghana’s hospitality, nightlife, or events landscape is a strong advantage
- Access to a personal vehicle is preferred; this is a field role and reliable transportation is preferred.
