Key Responsibilities

Market Research & Opportunity Identification

  • Identify potential geographic areas and markets suitable for new restaurant branches.
  • Conduct market research on customer demographics, dining trends, foot traffic, and purchasing behavior.
  • Analyze competitor presence, pricing, and positioning within target locations.

Site Identification & Feasibility Analysis

  • Source and evaluate potential restaurant sites based on visibility, accessibility, footfall, and commercial viability.
  • Conduct preliminary feasibility studies, including cost estimates, revenue potential, and return on investment.
  • Prepare location assessment reports and recommendations for management review.

Expansion Planning & Strategy Support

  • Support management in developing short- and long-term expansion strategies.
  • Maintain a pipeline of potential expansion sites and growth opportunities.
  • Track market performance of existing branches to inform future expansion decisions.

Stakeholder & Partner Engagement

  • Liaise with landlords, property agents, local authorities, and developers regarding potential sites.
  • Coordinate with internal teams such as operations, finance, and marketing during expansion planning.
  • Support negotiations related to leases and site agreements (as required).

Reporting & Analysis

  • Prepare regular reports on market opportunities, site evaluations, and expansion progress.
  • Monitor industry trends and provide insights to management.
  • Maintain accurate records of research findings and site data.

Key Skills and Competencies

  • Strong analytical and research skills.
  • Good understanding of retail or restaurant operations and location dynamics.
  • Ability to evaluate commercial viability and interpret financial data.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Negotiation and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and proactively.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, Real Estate, or a related field.
  • 5 years of experience in business development, expansion planning, retail, or hospitality.
  • Experience in site selection or market analysis for restaurants or retail outlets is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of local markets and consumer behavior is highly desirable.
