Job Summary

We are seeking a competent and detail-oriented Accountant to manage the company’s financial records and ensure compliance with all regulatory and reporting requirements. The ideal candidate must have a minimum of three (3) years of relevant work experience, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate financial records, ledgers, and reports.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable processes.
  • Reconcile bank statements and monitor cash flow.
  • Prepare and file tax returns, including VAT, PAYE, and corporate taxes, ensuring full compliance with GRA regulations.
  • Support payroll processing and ensure timely payment of employee salaries and statutory deductions (e.g., SSNIT, Tier 2, Tier 3).
  • Monitor and manage company budgets and expenses.
  • Conduct internal audits and support external audit processes.
  • Provide financial analysis and forecasts to aid business planning and decision-making.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all financial data and company information.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of internal financial policies and procedures.
  • Liaise with banks, auditors, tax consultants, and other external stakeholders.
  • Perform any other related duties assigned by management.


Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of proven work experience in accounting roles.
  • Membership or part qualification in a recognized professional accounting body (e.g., ICA Ghana, ACCA) is an advantage.
  • Proficient in the use of accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Tally, or similar).
  • Strong command of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent understanding of Ghanaian tax laws and financial regulations.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and confidentiality.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines.


Working Conditions:

  • Full-time, Monday to Friday.
  • Occasionally required to work extended hours to meet reporting deadlines.
